What are the new ammenities?
Daikon HVAC system replaced the old boiler which was recycled. The new hvac system is more energy efficietn and consumes less resources to heat the building saving residents about 75% over previous heating costs.
New Electrical wiring, and fixtures to bring power to the house of today and tomorrow. We have also added soft wiring for internet/cable (CAD5E). In addition, we have also pre-wired for your speakers in the ceilings.
Under ground electrical cables to protect the building in case of falling trees or poles meeting the newest regulations in Clayton.
New Loewen Windows provide historically accurate replicas of the original windows- with the bonus of a high U-factor provides low heat transfer to keep your ambient temperature even and costs down.
Wood floors (Oak) have been sanded and renewed with polyurethane to bring back their gleaming splendor.
*Awaiting "Historical Home" recognition from the Federal and State Historical offices.
*Awaiting "LEED Certification" from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). They will certify that the building is as green and sustainable as we say it is-so you don't have to take our word for it.
What are the original ammenities still to be enjoyed?
Original stone and marble entryway (polished).
Original steel staircase (refinished).
Orginal front doors to each unit and the building (completely refinished with original stain color and repaired for the next 50 years of service).
Large Maple tree in backyard which provides ample shade.
